Sith Happens is a Star Wars: The Old Republic guild that has stemmed from other guilds and clans across various gaming platforms. Many of the members were from the Knights of Kauri and ION guild from Star Wars Galaxies and Band of Brothers from Battlefield Game Series. It also consists of members from various World of Warcraft guilds. You can currently find us playing such games as Starcraft II and World of Warcraft.
Sith Happens Guild Charter
Sith Happens was founded on July 2010 as a collective of gamers whom have played together as far back as 2003 in various games such as Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, the Battlefield series among various others. Our goal is to create a casual atmosphere for those hardcore players at heart. What does that mean? Well, most of us have jobs, a family or a houseful of cats to tend to outside of gaming (they need attention too). We understand that Real Life comes before helping a Farmer slay 15 Womp rats so he can tend to his Moisture Vaporators. That is why Sith Happens is dedicated to a "casual" philosophy. Yet when it comes to actual game time, we plan to attack all the facets Star Wars: the Old Republic has to offer.
As a guild, we will be dedicated to progressing through the in game content whether it be in flashpoints, operations or warzone. Our goal is to have fun, while being the best (i think we just ripped that off from Best Buy.) We expect those members that can take the time to run through progressions to stick with it even if we can't clear through the content on the first run. Members will not be required to attend all operations, but those that do sign up are expected to contribute and give their time to that run. Should real life intervene, officers should be notified prior to the run or as soon as possible.
While we will be playing on a PvP server, both PvP and PvE will be our focus. We also realize that not everyone wants to kill those Republic scum ( we will convince you otherwise) or explore the vast story The Old Republic has to offer. The wealth and experience of our members will provide a balance of PvP and PvE for those that want to master either style of gameplay.
Those that participate in group PvP or PvE operations, flashpoints and Warzones should have access to Ventrilo. You are not required to speak but should be on to listen for direction from officers as well as the operation leaders. In addition, while in combat Ventrilo should be kept quiet for those leading the operation to inform members on the direction of the fight.
- Players should be 18+ years of age, exceptions will be made for mature younger players
- Must have access to Ventrilo. (Microphone is not required)
- Participation on the forums is encouraged. There is no minimum or maximum number of posts your need to contribute weekly. But members should post as they feel necessary
- Willing to work within a team environment, no lone wolfs. We are a wolf pack.
For those that participate in operations we ask that you commit to the allotted time for the event you have signed up for. As the game gets closer and more information is released, an operation schedule will be posted. We will be located on an East Coast server so all raid times will posted at EST. Expect raids to start around 8-9pm EST and run until 12-12:30EST. The days of the week will be determined via discussion on the Guild Forums so each member can voice their concerns.
- You are not required to sign up for any operation
- If you sign up to attend an operation, you are expected to stay in the group until the operation is completed or until scheduled end time has come. (Whichever comes first)
- Those in the operation must be on Ventrilo
- Rolling and distribution of loot will be based on Loot Council
- No Drama
- No Religion/Racism/Politics/Debates on who shot first (We all know Han shot first)
- No verbal assaults on Ventrilo
- No disrespecting members
- No Jawa Jokes (ok maybe a few)
The only real way to get kicked out of the guild is for breaking the above rules. As mentioned above, people have lives outside of the game, and you will not be kicked out due to inactivity. Guild Rankings As it stands right now, there are 3 ranks within the guild, Guild Leader, Officer and Guild Member. Further ranks will be discussed and introduced over the next coming months.
