The Arkanian Heavy Pistol was an upgrade of the normal Heavy Blaster. It was a rare weapon to find in the galaxy, but packed a heavy punch for a blaster. The weapon also had a physical damage bonus that allows it to be of some use against Energy Shields, as it was not stricly limited to energy damage.

The Arkanian Heavy Pistol was available for purchase in the Undercity.

Bendak's Blaster belonged to Bendak Starkiller, a Death Match Duelist legendary on Taris. It is a highly adaptable weapon, and is definitely of better quality than any standard issue pistol.

Bendak's Blaster is the best normal blaster pistol in KotOR.

The Blaster Pistol was a common sidearm of most military infantry units and various gangsters, bounty hunters, and other villany in the galaxy. It would release a short ranged bolt. They were generally not very powerful.

The Blaster Pistol is the weakest ranged weapon in KotOR, although there are many versions of the blaster pistol that upgrade the average power cell.

The most common upgrade of the blaster pistol is the Heavy Blaster.

Carth's blaster was a blaster pistol that was used and customized by Carth Onasi. It was an upgradeable weapon in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Carth's personal blaster was based on an old Arkanian design, but he has adapted it to incorporate all of the latest modular technology available to the Republic.

Casus Fett's Heavy Blaster was a custom-built heavy blaster used by the infamous Casus Fett, who was renowned for killing the captain of a Republic capital ship at the Battle of Jaga's Cluster. He was presumed dead at the time of the Jedi Civil War, but no one knew for sure.

The Disruptor Pistol was a small, handheld disruptor weapon. The disruptor pistol used a special energy beam that was focused enough to deal physical damage, allowing it to cut through most types of personal energy shields. The disruptor pistol literally tore its target apart, making it an exceptionally inhumane weapon that outlawed it on many worlds.

Even the possession of a Disruptor Pistol was punishable by death on many worlds, and the weapon was outlawed in all systems of the Galactic Republic.

The Hold-out Blaster, sometimes called a "sleeper", was a small, handheld blaster pistol that could be easily concealed and had a low detectability. It was not as powerful as an average blaster pistol, but had a chance of stunning the target, which allowed for a quick and silent kill later on.

Hold-out blasters were not good in firefights, but were the weapon of choice for spies and covert operatives as they were not very loud and were easy to conceal.

The Ion Blaster was a basic ion weapon that fired electical bolts which were highly effective against droids, but not very effective against organics. The ion blaster was upgraded as an Ion Rifle, which was more damaging, and eventually into the Bothan Droid Disruptor and Verpine Droid Disruptor.

The Mandalorian Blaster was an upgraded version of the blaster pistol. It was one of the finest pistols in the galaxy, used by the Mandalorians in the Mandalorian War. Once the war ended, the weapons became much harder to find.

The Mandalorian Heavy Pistol was an extremely modified version of the Heavy Blaster. It was used by Mandalorian warriors during and after the Mandalorian War, as well as mercenaries lucky enough to get their hands on it, such as the famous bounty hunter Calo Nord. These weapons were not upgradeable, but were powerful enough that they really did not need to be upgraded to get massive amounts of power from the cells.

The Mandalorian Ripper was a Mandalorian version of a slugthrower. It shot magnetically accelerated particles at high velocities that sliced through personal shields and killed the enemy quickly. It was a lightweight pistol that could be easily handled in one hand.

The Sith Assassin Pistol was a small Hold-out blaster that was used by Sith assassins. It was a powerful, lightweight pistol that was designed to kill slowly and painfully, leaving the target barely alive and in pain. The Sith had no use for maiming droids, so they were destroyed quickly with the additional ion damage.

Sith admiral Saul Karath used this modified pistol when he fought Carth Onasi, Bastila Shan, and the redeemed Revan on the bridge of the Leviathan.

The Verpine Prototype Ion Blaster was a specially upgraded Ion Blaster that was designed by the Verpine, an insectoid species that was exceptional at creating advanced technology.

The Verpine modified the basic design of the Ion Blaster so that the weapon did more damage against organic beings as well as droids, which allowed it to be a more versatile sidearm.

The Zabarak Tystel Mark III was a specially upgraded Heavy Blaster used by Zabrak spacefarers. This weapon was used to fight off pirates trying steal it, only to be sold on the black market anyway. It was not a matter of where it went, but who was paid.

Using the same 'shaped-energy' concept as in his Ion-X Weapon (see next entry), Suvam Tan has modified a Baragwin disruptor weapon as well, giving comparable levels of concussive force to the blast that the Ion-X Weapon delivers. Upgrades to this weapon could potentially greatly increase both the impact force and the penetration of its charges.

This weapon was an experimental Baragwin design that has been extensively modified by Suvam Tan. He has incorporated what he has described as a 'shaped-energy' delivery system into the weapon, which allowed it to deliver concussive force on impact in addition to the weapon's normal energy discharge. Upgrades to the weapon could potentially greatly increase both its impact force and its penetration.

Blue Glass Arrow Main article: Bowcaster

The Bowcaster was a special weapon used mainly by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk. Older versions of the bowcaster, used by the Wookiees during the time of the Jedi Civil War fired one-shot bursts, unlike later versions of the weapon, which could fire multiple shot bursts. The bowcaster dealt both physical and energy damage, increasing its effectiveness on the combat field.

The Ion Rifle was the most basic upgrade of the Ion Blaster. It was a two-handed weapon designed primarily for destruction against droids, although it was capable of harming organic targets as well. The fact that it was an ion weapon allowed it to be extremely effective against all droids, from astromechs to assault droids.

The ion rifle was upgraded into a droid disruptor by both the Verpine and the Bothans.

Zaalbar's Bowcaster was a specialized bowcaster that the Wookiee warrior Zaalbar used. The weapon was taken from Zaalbar when the Wookiee was captured by the Gamorreans of the Lower Sewers on Taris. When Revan rescued Zaalbar, the former Dark Lord also collected his weapons.

The weapon itself was slightly modified from the average bowcaster. These modifications allowed Zaalbar to be able to upgrade it with several standard upgrade items, which in turn allowed his bowcaster to perform at a much higher rate than most bowcasters.

This light repeating blaster is an excellent example of the Baragwin aptitude for weaponry. By taking and modifying an existing repeating blaster design, the Baragwin have managed to greatly increase the damage output and added additional functionality with a variety of upgrade options.
