A Rest Zone is a location where your character is placed in a Rested state as long as they remain in the area.
While in a Rested state your character will gain double experience points (XP). The character will continue to be in a Rested state until a threshold of experience is gained. The longer you remain in a Rest Zone the larger the threshold of experience before leaving a Rested state. You can log out while in a Rest Zone and your Rested state experience threshold will continue to grow. Quest experience does not count toward decreasing your Rested experience threshold.
When you enter a Rest Zone you will see the following message on your display:
- "YOU HAVE ENTERED A REST ZONE"
For Free-to-play players, you will see:
"YOU HAVE ENTERED A REST ZONE. ONLY SUBSCRIBERS CAN GAIN EXPERIENCE POINTS IN A REST ZONE."
When leaving you will see:
- "YOU ARE LEAVING A REST ZONE"
You can also view your XP bar to see if you are in a Rested state. While in a Rested state your XP bar will appear green instead of orange. An outline of green will extend the right, past the solid portion of green, to show the Rested experience threshold. If you hover your mouse cursor over the XP bar an XP panel will appear. The panel will state whether you are in a Rested state, and will show your Rested state experience threshold value.
