Despite this, the Empire has begun seeking peaceful negotiations with the Galactic Senate, and a delegation has been sent to Alderaan to discuss a treaty with the Sith Dark Council.

Meanwhile, a fleet led by Darth Angral attacks the Republic capital of Coruscant, intent on forcing the negotiators to accept terms favorable to the Empire by holding the planet captive.

However, following the signing the Republic delegation was attacked and Jedi Master Dar'Nala taken captive by Imperial forces under the command of Captain Sivil.

As the Republic scrambles to meet the dictates of the treaty, Dar'Nala's former padawan Satele Shan strives to make contact with Coruscant and the Galactic Senate in order to report the Sith attack on her transport.

The tenuous peace between the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire is on the verge of unraveling, each side blaming the other for attacks on the worlds of Coruscant and Korriban. In the Outer Rim, Republic forces refuse to withdraw, claiming the escalating violence will lead to the Treaty of Coruscant's undoing in short order.

As Orgus Din moves to apprehend bounty hunter Braden, wanted for the murders of Gin Lesl and Jedi Master Zym on Coruscant, the events that have transpired thus far begin to form a cohesive picture; the attacks on both the Republic and the Empire may have been the result of an unknown third party.
